This involves providing thoughtful guidance on responsible technology use while fostering continuous innovation and evolution of processes and tools.</li><li>Assist in the due diligence and drafting of documents from beginning to end for complex commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring. Draft closing checklists and ancillary agreements necessary for closing, review regulatory requirements and advise on necessary approvals thereof, draft filings and coordinates with internal regulatory groups and regulatory authority to ensure all necessary approvals are received and processes are finalized.</li><li>Manage and advise on all aspects of Sentry’s patent and trademark portfolio, including assisting with the procurement and enforcement of Sentry’s intellectual property rights.</li><li>Research and interpret statutory and case law for various specialized areas, such as insurance regulatory, economic sanctions laws (OFAC, Export Controls, FinCen, AML), financial institutions, investments and securities, privacy, environmental laws, employment, advertising and marketing, hospitality, and intellectual property.</li><li>Draft, implement, and oversee processes for company policies, governance documents, and regulatory filings to ensure adherence to internal and external requirements. Responsibilities:
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS agreements, and other operational and vendor agreements.</li><li>Assist the Vendor Management team and senior management with contract interpretation and maintenance.</li><li>Perform legal analysis and provide legal advice on consumer-related legal matters (including UCC filings, consumer bankruptcy actions, and probate matters).</li><li>Provide litigation support, including by managing subpoena responses and legal holds, and by actively monitoring all collections-related litigation.</li><li>Assist in the process of responding to consumer complaints, examination requests, and licensing matters, as needed.</li><li>Review and revise policies and procedures where appropriate and evaluate business activity to determine compliance with applicable policies and procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with the Compliance team, outside counsel, and/or third-party service providers to address and resolve project-specific issues.</li><li>Work closely with business lines to identify and achieve desired business outcomes while minimizing legal risk and maintaining strong relationships within the organization.</li><li>Provide support to the Company’s General Counsel on corporate legal matters.</li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. </li></ul> Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly. Qualifications:
<h1>Minimum Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>Law degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, with the ability to register as in-house counsel in the State of Wisconsin.</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 2 years’ experience, with in-house legal department experience and/or experience in the consumer finance industry preferred.</li><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.</li><li>Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.</li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).</li></ul>
