PRN Radiology Technologist Marshalltown Hospital Shift: As-Needed Marshalltown Hospital is hiring a PRN Diagnostic Radiographer to support our high-performing imaging team. This as-needed role offers flexibility while continuing to deliver high-quality patient care.You’ll perform a variety of radiologic procedures for patients of all ages, using independent judgment and technical expertise to support accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li data-start="66" data-end="217">Performs diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately, ensuring proper patient identification, radiation protection, and high image quality.</li><li data-start="218" data-end="339">Completes documentation and exam records correctly and on time; supports workflow and collaborates with team members.</li><li data-start="340" data-end="486">Assists radiologists and physicians with procedures, contrast administration, and patient care, following all safety and medication protocols.</li><li data-start="487" data-end="617">Operates and maintains radiology equipment properly; reports malfunctions and maintains clean, safe, and organized work areas.</li><li data-start="618" data-end="749" data-is-last-node="">Guides and supports patient flow, communication with nursing staff, patient transport, and the education/supervision of students.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>HS diploma or equivalent</li><li>Holds Permit-to-Practice radiology in the state of Iowa.</li><li>Certified and holds current registration with the A.R.R.T. as a Radiologic Technologist.</li><li>Must be able to read and write English.</li><li>Includes those currently pursuing registration in Mammography, CT, or MRI. If pursuing the Mammography, CT, or MRI tract, the technologist is required to successfully obtain their modality A.R.R.T. board examination within 18 months of completion of the orientation program.</li></ul>

This position is ideal for a registered Radiologic Technologist who is interested in expanding their skills through structured cross-training into an advanced imaging modality such as CT, MRI, or Mammography. The selected candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while completing on the job training in their preferred modality under the guidance of experienced staff and leadership.

Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.Seeking ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist interested in cross-training into an advanced imaging modality.This position is ideal for a registered Radiologic Technologist who is interested in expanding their skills through structured cross-training into an advanced imaging modality such as CT, MRI, or Mammography.The selected candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures while completing on the job training in their preferred modality under the guidance of experienced staff and leadership.<ul><li>Participate in modality-specific training and competency development</li><li>Positions patients and adjusts equipment for all routine radiographic procedures.</li><li>Instructs patients regarding procedures.</li><li>Observes patients for vital signs during examination.</li><li>Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.</li><li>Uses radiation protection according to department policy and procedures.</li><li>Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.</li><li>Examines imaging studies for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness.</li><li>Authorizes release of patients upon completion of imaging examination.</li><li>Develops and processes images, if applicable.</li><li>Delivers diagnostic images to radiologists for reading/interpretation.</li><li>Administers contrast media correctly and provides appropriate instruction.</li><li>Provides input for equipment and supply purchase decisions.</li><li>Recognizes emergency situations; initiates life support measures for patients as necessary.</li><li>Maintains patient records.</li><li>Assumes responsibility for supplying area according to departmental needs.</li><li>Enhances professional growth through education programs, conferences, and workshops.</li><li>Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. </li><li>Assumes responsibility for portions of quality assurance program.</li><li>Maintains patient confidentiality.</li><li>Performs related work as required.</li></ul>Education<ul><li>Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.</li></ul>Certification/License<ul><li>Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.</li><li>Current BCLS certification.</li><li>Current state permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.</li></ul>Days: Monday - Friday.
