The Assistant Provost of Curriculum and Academic Partnerships provides strategic leadership for curriculum systems, academic partnerships, and global education initiatives at Finger Lakes Community College. Reporting to the Associate Provost of Curriculum and Instruction, the Assistant Provost supports academic quality, shared governance processes, and the development of partnerships that strengthen student pathways and academic innovation.The Assistant Provost serves as the College’s Senior International Officer and provides leadership for global education initiatives, including study abroad and faculty-led field studies. In collaboration with faculty and academic leadership, the Assistant Provost works to integrate global and place-based learning experiences into academic programs and expand equitable access to international learning opportunities.This role advances the Academic and Student Affairs Division’s commitment to integrated learning pathways, experiential education, and partnerships that promote student success, community engagement, and regional vitality.FLCC is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and strives to provide an environment that embodies these principles. The College seeks to attract talented personnel from diverse backgrounds and traditions, particularly those historically underrepresented in higher education.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Leadership<ol><li>Serves as an administrative liaison, resource, and non-voting member of the Curriculum Council, ensuring the integrity of curriculum processes and adherence to Curriculum Council bylaws and shared governance procedures.</li><li>Serves as a resource for faculty and workforce development staff regarding curriculum development, academic policy, and compliance with FLCC, SUNY, NYSED, and MSCHE regulations.</li><li>Supports the continuous improvement of curriculum development processes and academic program quality.</li><li>Provides guidance and coordination to ensure alignment between curricular initiatives and institutional priorities.</li></ol>Academic Partnerships<ol><li>Strengthens partnerships with local K-12 school districts, higher education institutions, and community organizations to support seamless student transitions and program innovation.</li><li>Supports and expands concurrent enrollment courses and early college scholar programming in collaboration with internal staff, administrators, faculty, and high school partners to ensure equitable access and alignment with College expectations.</li><li>Oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of articulation and transfer agreements, including enhanced 2+2 and 3+1 partnerships.</li><li>Collaborates with internal colleagues, the SUNY System, and four-year institutions to maximize opportunities for students and ensure effective transfer pathways.</li><li>Works collaboratively with the Associate Provost of Student Affairs to support student retention and the overall student learning experience.</li><li>Works with Information Technology to ensure academic systems effectively support instructional and curricular needs.</li><li>Serves as the Provost’s or Associate Provost’s designee as a liaison to SUNY and other academic organizations, ensuring compliance and alignment with system-wide initiatives.</li></ol>Global Education<ol><li>Serves as the College’s Senior International Officer.</li><li>Provides strategic leadership for global education initiatives, including study abroad programs and international academic partnerships.</li><li>Supports the development and implementation of faculty-led field studies and other global learning experiences connected to academic programs.</li><li>Collaborates with faculty and academic leadership to integrate global and place-based learning opportunities into academic curricula.</li><li>Promotes equitable student access to global and international learning opportunities.</li></ol>Education and ExperienceRequired<ol><li>Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.</li><li>Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience in higher education.</li><li>Teaching experience in higher education.</li><li>Working knowledge of curriculum design, instructional technology, instructional modalities, and student learning assessment.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in academic programs and initiatives.</li><li>Proven ability to inspire and lead faculty, foster collaboration, and manage change effectively.</li><li>Digital literacy.</li><li>Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li></ol>Preferred<ol><li>Terminal degree (Ed.D., Ph.D., or equivalent) from an accredited institution.</li><li>Leadership experience in academic administration within a community college setting.</li><li>Community college teaching experience.</li><li>Shared governance experience.</li><li>Knowledge of SUNY system policies and practices.</li><li>Familiarity with workforce development and industry partnerships.</li></ol>Benefits and Salary RangeApplicants receiving benefits through the New York State Retirement System should review state regulations regarding post-retirement employment. Job Description:Summary:This position is responsible for the design and development of curriculum for instructor-led and online learning programs throughout the Enterprise. The Instructional Designer will partner with authors, managers and subject matter experts in curriculum development, course design and material. They will work closely with the curriculum developers and documentation coordinators to maintain learning support resources. Serve as a liaison between Learning & Development and all training functions in the organization to foster collaboration about learning &development. This position will work on a wide variety of projects and must be able to handle multiple projects effectively.Essential Accountabilities:All levels<ul><li>Responsible for the design, analysis, and development learning content for instructor-led training (ILT),virtual-instructor led training (VILT), eLearning and blended learning experiences.</li><li>Responsible for creating and maintaining learning content in the organization's Learning Management System.</li><li>Partners with subject matter experts, management, and learning professionals to develop content and improve existing curriculum.</li><li>Designs training materials, job aides, and e-learning content for all areas of the Enterprise.
