As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide support and assistance to students, particularly those with special needs or learning disabilities. State and Federal background check required.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.</li><li>Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs) or special needs.</li><li>Help students with assignments, projects, and activities, ensuring understanding and engagement.</li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student success.</li><li>Monitor student progress and behavior, documenting observations as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies for student success.</li><li>Assist with classroom management and organization, including maintaining materials and resources.</li><li>Provide support during transitions, lunchtime, recess, and other non-instructional periods as needed.</li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li><li>Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of or willingness to learn about special education principles and practices.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.</li><li>Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.</li><li>Ability to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and respond to changing priorities.</li><li>Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational technology tools preferred.</li></ul>PandoLogic.
