Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots all equipment in assigned section(s) to keep in good working order; makes minor repairs and adjustments when necessary; initiates and follows through with Biomedical Engineering/equipment manufacturer for safety checks and repairs; schedules preventive maintenance within the section with Biomedical Engineering, equipment manufacturer, or an outside contractor. This Job meets the minimum CLIA qualifications of a Laboratory General Supervisor, and under the direction of the Laboratory Director and/or Laboratory Manager, coordinates and manages the day-to-day operations of their specific section(s) and shift(s).
