Assists with the natural resource planning, assessment and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects; Performs natural resource and permitting compliance assessments, and determines the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected natural resource related data; Prepares natural resource assessments and figures using GIS and AutoCAD software; Effectively uses reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess natural resources and their impact on the planning and design of projects; Provides field inspection and natural resource identification services, as needed; and. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or Planning; 0+ years of experience in natural resource assessment and permitting; Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting; Strong GIS and AutoCAD skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; Ability to occasionally participate in field work and work during evenings and/or weekends, when necessary; Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required; and.
