As the only Community Action Agency in Hinds County, Mississippi, Hinds County Human Resource Agency (HCHRA) has strived to lift its citizens out of poverty conditions through an assortment of services since 1976. This role will be responsible for the overall operation of the center, including personnel supervision, and program management.Additional responsibilities can include: <ul><li>Planning and developing</li><li>Communications with parents, staff, volunteers, authorities, committees and boards of other organizations</li><li>Training/Orientation for new employees, volunteers, and parents</li><li>Conduct parent and staff meetings</li><li>Ability to understand budgets and expense reports</li><li>Mentorship and professional development of staff</li><li>Supervision, monitoring and evaluation of staff and their work performance</li><li>Inspecting building and grounds</li><li>Record keeping and reporting</li><li>Participates in interviews for staff</li><li>Other responsibilities like attending Policy Council meetings, collaborating with community partners, serving on assigned committees and other duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Able to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship</li><li>Reliable transportation to commute to the assigned center location within Hinds County, MS</li><li>B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a closely related field, (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, or Public Administration) with at least two (2) years of supervisoryand management experience in education, elder care centers, or an adults with disabilities environment</li><li>OR a two-year college degree in Child Development Technology or English and 10 years of work experience, which must include at least 6 years of management and supervision in a Preschool Program, elder care centers, or an adults with disabilities environment may be substituted for the B.
