The Program Director holds a 12-month faculty position with release time each term based on the size of the program, as determined by the Dean and VPAA. This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction using integrative technologies. Faculty are expected to provide academic advising to students and participate in college, department, and community activities related to the College’s mission.Job Duties:Teach 38-42 TLE per year via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned with both teaching and approved release time included in this expectation. Typically, the EMS program director receives 6 TLE release time per term. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Currently certified as a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor. Licensed emergency care experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years practice. Minimum of three (3) years practicing in the pre-hospital environment or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years in EMS education administration or, greater than three hundred (300) hours of EMS instruction. Current endorsement in a Board approved trauma, cardiac, and pediatric course at the provider level (instructor preferred). Documented education or experience in instructional methodology.
