As a Managing Technical Consultant, Remediation, Demolition and Construction Manager, you will play a critical, on‑the‑ground leadership role delivering high‑impact decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition (DDD) projects across the U.S., including locations such asHouston, TX; Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA and Baton Rouge, LA.This is a highly visible, field‑focused role for an experienced professional who thrives at the intersection of construction management, environmental remediation, safety leadership, and client delivery. Your work directly supports the safe closure, redevelopment, and revitalization of legacy industrial sites while strengthening ERM’s reputation as a trusted global environmental consultancy.<h2>What Your Impact Is</h2><ul><li>Serve as ERM’s on‑site leader for decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition projects across a variety of industrial environments</li><li>Ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality execution of remediation construction activities</li><li>Lead the field implementation of both innovative and conventional remedial solutions for contaminated soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor</li><li>Act as a key communicator between contractors, field teams, and Project Managers to keep projects on schedule and on budget</li><li>Support ERM’s growth by contributing technical expertise to business development activities</li></ul><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Serve as ERM’s on‑site manager overseeing DDD projects at industrial facilities including oil and gas sites, power plants, and former chemical manufacturing facilities</li><li>Manage field construction projects involving demolition, environmental remediation, civil works, site development, earthwork, and hazardous waste management</li><li>Assist with planning, scheduling, and oversight of remediation and DDD projects</li><li>Review contractor submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements</li><li>Provide construction management support and quality assurance/quality control</li><li>Support site investigations and hazardous materials handling activities</li><li>Serve as Field Safety Officer and Demolition Manager when required</li><li>Plan and schedule on‑site staff and evaluate subcontractor performance</li><li>Maintain clear, consistent communication with the field team and Project Manager</li><li>Track budgets, manage scopes of work, and support definition of new project scopes</li></ul><h2>What You’ll Bring</h2><h3>Required</h3><ul><li>4–5 years of experience supporting remediation construction sites and industrial decommissioning, decontamination, and demolition projects</li><li>BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree).</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project</li><li>Excellent client service, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>Willingness to travel extensively, with 80–90% of time spent in the field</li><li>Ability to pass a background check and drug screen</li><li>This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.</li></ul><h3>Preferred</h3><ul><li>OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification (OSHA 30‑hour Construction and 8‑hour Supervisor training a plus)</li><li>Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)</li></ul><div>Who We Are:  As the largest global pure play sustainability consultancy, we partner with the world’s leading organizations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations. </div><div>At ERM we know that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career. This position requires applying diversified knowledge of principles and practices to a broad range of projects and clients. Project LocationProject location is Central/South Mississippi.  The ideal candidate would be located in our Houston office; however, the right candidate would be considered from any geography with up to 50% travel to the project location near Jackson, Mississippi.  Key responsibilities include:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Providing leadership and oversight to a group of engineers, scientists, construction managers, contractors and waste disposal facilities who are serving clients in the upstream, midstream, and/or downstream oil and gas and industrial industry</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Developing strategy, cost estimating and project scheduling for large scale remediation / decommissioning / demolition projects</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Federal and/or State of Mississippi regulatory expertise and advocacy experience including hazardous waste, naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM), lead-based pant, asbestos, site investigation/remediation and site reclamation experience preferred</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Resume and experience with demolition planning and waste management planning</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Experience in demolition onsite waste management, waste profiling, transportation and manifesting and/or waste disposal vendor coordination</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Resource recovery/monetization of demolition salvage</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Ability to develop demolition project schedules and sequencing</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Experience developing demolition plans and bid documents and contractor selection</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with demolition activities</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Coordinating with various stakeholders, including engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Experience with Innovation and new technologies and techniques to improve demolition processes and outcomes.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Experience developing strategies to minimize the environmental impact of demolition activities (waste reduction, NORM and proper disposal of hazardous materials).</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Contractor negotiation and management</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">Familiar with construction and demolition safety programs</li></ul> Skills & Experience<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li style="margin-bottom:0in">12+ years working within an industrial, petrochemical or refinery environment</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in">5+ years project management experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required.
