<div>EGS is seeking a Demolition Project Manager for direct hire.  This position is in Livermore, CA and comes with top competitive salary and great benefits.  Relocation assistance is available.    Must be US Citizen.</div><div><br/></div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li><strong>Safety Leadership:</strong> Champion a culture of safety on-site. Applicants must have a proven track record of incident-free management on large-scale demolition projects.</li><li><strong>Site Management:</strong> Full-time, on-site supervision and hands-on involvement in daily operations from project inception to completion.</li><li><strong>Hazard Mitigation:</strong> Conduct environmental and safety assessments, implement work plans, and ensure strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, and contract-specific regulations.</li><li><strong>Environmental Remediation:</strong> Oversee abatement and remediation of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, PCBs, heavy metals, and CERCLA/RCRA-defined wastes.</li><li><strong>Radiological Demolition: </strong>Managing crews and work inside contamination areas (CAs), and high contamination areas (HCAs) with a general familiarity of Department of Energy demolition and remediation activities. Follow Radioactive Work Permits (RWP), Industrial Work Permits (IWP), and Hot Work Permits.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Hire, train, and supervise laborers, equipment operators, and environmental technicians. Preference given to candidates with access to reliable, safety-conscious crews. Possess the ability to maintain labor harmony between our employees, the customer, local trades and unions.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Communication:</strong> Act as primary liaison between the field team, clients, regulatory agencies, and company leadership. Maintaining thorough documentation and weekly progress reporting.</li><li><strong>Budget & Scheduling:</strong> Develop cost estimates, monitor job costing, and track production metrics to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery</li><li><strong>Contract Management:</strong> Detailed understanding of contractual requirements, reporting, and change order management</li><li><strong>Work Planning: </strong>Develop work plans to be integrated into Work Instruction Packages and provide other input into the Work Planning process</li></ul><br/><br/><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>Demonstrate ability to manage demolition and remediation projects in high-risk environments.</li></ul><ul><li>Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct work. <p>This position is responsible to provide operational support in mitigation efforts for clients. Qualified candidates must possess ability to perform tasks related to Asbestos Removal and will be required to use a variety of specialized equipment. Qualified candidate will be required to supervise Asbestos techs in the process of their jobs and be responsible for all documentation and support.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Meet with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Assistant Operations Managers, Customers, and/or Customers Agents to obtain complete understanding of job requirements and documents as necessary job requirements before project start up.</li><li>Clearly communicate all job requirements, including but not necessarily limited to job schedules, work plans, abatement techniques, equipment usage, hazardous conditions, and safety procedures, damage control procedures, job site layout, sampling, reporting, and emergency procedures.</li><li>Take disciplinary action when any Technician or Crew Leader working on the job is in violation of Company policy, regulatory standards, or site-specific rules.</li><li>Ensure that each employee is present with their badge at the job start time, that no one is using anothers badge, and that correct job numbers and records are being scanned.</li><li>Ensure that all necessary information and posted notices required on the job site have been posted.</li><li>Report all other activities that may have been done on a BELFOR job so that BELFOR is not held responsible for another companys work.</li><li>Represent BELFOR during regulatory site visitations or other third-party visitations in accordance with BELFORs policy concerning regulatory site visitations.</li><li>Learn and understand MSDS protocols for chemicals used during mitigation processes.</li><li>Perform Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean, serviceable condition.</li><li>Must maintain attention to detail.</li><li>Comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods.</li><li>Record operational or environmental data.</li><li>Sort specialized hazardous waste at landfills or disposal centers following proper disposal procedures.</li><li>Drive trucks or other heavy equipment to convey contaminated waste to designated sea or ground locations.</li><li>Drive trucks or truck-mounted equipment.</li><li>Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks using hoists or forklifts.</li><li>Load or unload materials used in construction or extraction.</li><li>Clean mold-contaminated sites by removing damaged porous materials or thoroughly cleaning all contaminated nonporous materials.</li><li>Decontaminate equipment or sites to remove hazardous or toxic substances.</li><li>Operate machines or equipment to remove package store or transport loads of waste materials.</li><li>Prepare hazardous waste for processing or disposal.</li><li>Process e-waste such as computer components containing lead or mercury.</li><li>Proper use of cleaning/disinfectant solutions and removal techniques of debris from contained areas.</li><li>Under Supervision: Use of proper lifting techniques, use of slide pads, use of Styrofoam blocks, care and protection of customer personal belongings.</li><li>Will be required to meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other peoples property.</li><li>Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.</li><li>Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.</li><li>Will be required to work nights and weekends as requested, as well as travel periodically.</li><li>Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately.</li><li>Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Build containment areas prior to beginning abatement or decontamination work.</li><li>Assemble temporary equipment or structures.</li><li>Remove asbestos or lead from surfaces using hand or power tools such as scrapers, vacuums, or high pressure sprayers.</li><li>Prepare hazardous material for removal or storage.</li><li>Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks.</li><li>Perform personal air samples.</li><li>Direct all technicians work activities to meet production and safety requirements.</li><li>Train employees as required on job techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.</li><li>Conduct a fit test the first day of the week and on the first day of a new job for all employees who are required to wear respirators.</li><li>Conduct an accident/incident investigation in accordance with company policy should a work site injury or loss of equipment or property occur.
