p>Basic Purpose: Positions in this job family are responsible for the administration, planning, implementation and management, and improvement of a comprehensive program of preventive dentistry; and a dental care and treatment program, including diagnostic, prosthetic, surgical, endodontic, periodontal, and restorative dentistry, for persons who are in state custody or care.
Abilities required at this level include the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; develop programs within policy limits; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; apply improved techniques and procedures in all phases of the dental program; and prepare and present educational programs.
