Leverages automated server builds, tools, and critical infrastructure that supports the company's technology stack. This role interacts with the application development team and works closely with developers in deploying cross-platform code, providing operational support and infrastructure assistance. The DevOps Engineer assists in troubleshooting issues, improving automation, creation of new project pipelines, and security scanning tool integration across all projects.Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Security, IT, or related field with programming coursework, or equivalent experience. If supporting TRICARE, must be a U.S. citizen and obtain favorable interim and final DoD background investigation. 2+ years in DevOps engineering, CI/CD pipeline development, or related infrastructure automation. 2+ years with Azure DevOps pipelines, Git-based source control, and branching strategies. 2+ years with configuration management/automation tools (Chef, Ansible, or equivalent). 2+ years using cloud technologies (Azure preferred). 2+ years integrating applications using SOA/web services with knowledge of ADO.NET. 2+ years deploying applications in Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux environments. Knowledge of software build cycles and deployment best practices. Fluent in PowerShell and Bash scripting. Experience deploying code and defining branching strategies. Knowledge of modern DevOps and agile practices with emphasis on CI/CD and automated testing. Experience communicating with both technical and business audiences. Preferred: • Experience with Git-GitHub and Azure DevOps pipelines • Knowledge of Entity Framework • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience with Ruby or Python scripting • Experience with Chef Enterprise Application Stack • Familiarity with current NIST, CIS, HIPAA, and VA Handbook requirements for security hardening for OS and application hardening • Technical experience working with healthcare systems or in a government contract systems environmentKey Responsibilities • Manage and support the design and development of automated scripts for code deployments. • Support continuous and consistent integration across multiple projects for development teams. • Design and build automated frameworks for the deployment and monitoring of web-based services and applications. • Maintain user manuals, system design update playbooks, documents, processes, and update pipeline ReadMe and diagrams. • Perform on-call support functions. • Participate in all Scrum activities such as creating user stories, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives. • Perform other duties as assigned.Competencies Commitment to Task: Ability to conform to established policies and procedures; exhibit high motivation. Overview:
We’re looking for a DevOps Developer who thrives at the intersection of development and operations. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in getting software changes from development into production quickly, reliably, and securely. You’ll design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot build and deployment issues, and collaborate across teams to ensure smooth, low-risk releases. This is a hands-on role focused on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of the software delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable deployments</li><li>Automate manual processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and environment issues</li><li>Coordinate and manage software releases across multiple environments</li><li>Monitor pipelines and processes to identify bottlenecks and improve performance</li><li>Administer and support DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.)</li><li>Ensure all changes meet audit, security, and compliance requirements</li><li>Partner with developers, QA, and operations to drive continuous delivery</li><li>Document processes and support audit readiness</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or relevant work experience may substitute for formal education)</li><li>Minimum 4 years’ experience in software development, operations, DevOps, configuration/change, or release management</li><li>Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, and Docker</li><li>Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Groovy)</li><li>Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, Rally, etc.)</li><li>Ability to work independently on projects and collaboratively across teams</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Strong experience with Groovy or Java</li><li>Experience with AWS</li><li>Experience with release tools (e.g., UCD)</li><li>Unix/Linux experience</li></ul>How you'll work:<ul><li>Collaborative, cross-functional team environment</li><li>Strong focus on ownership, communication, automation, attenion to detail, and continuous improvement</li><li>Monday-Friday, normal hours with possible on-call support as required for release operations and for hot fixes</li></ul>
