Overview:
Susquehanna is actively recruiting a Build Systems / DevOps Engineer for our Development Tools and Components team. This team supports Susquehanna’s internal software developers by building, operating, and evolving enterprise-grade developer tooling platforms. The team is responsible not only for enabling development workflows, but also for owning the architecture, reliability, and long-term sustainability of the tooling ecosystem. We're looking for someone with a background in development tooling infrastructure, platform ownership, and systems architecture. In this role, you will:<ul><li>Architect, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and maintainable build and deployment infrastructure </li><li>Own and evolve enterprise-scale developer tooling platforms such as GitLab, TeamCity, Artifactory, and Octopus Deploy as long-term, business-critical services </li><li>Build and manage shared, on-prem infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, etc. </li><li>Provide stewardship over a large and ever evolving set of core components</li><li>Develop custom tools and extensions </li><li>Establish and maintain reliability, observability, and operational excellence across tooling platforms (monitoring, alerting, SLAs, incident response, etc.) </li><li>Administer and maintain existing tool chains on multiple versions of Linux and Windows</li><li>Partner with engineering teams to guide adoption and best practices, acting as a subject matter expert for developer tooling </li><li>Participate in support rotations and provide operational support for critical systems </li><li>Maintain version control platform for the entire company</li></ul>

What we’re looking for:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (relevant technical experience may substitute for education)</li><li>5+ years of experience owning and operating developer infrastructure or platform engineering systems at scale </li><li>5+ years of experience with any high-level programing languages (C++, c#, python)</li><li>Proven experience managing and evolving enterprise-grade developer tooling ecosystems (e.g., GitLab, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy) </li><li>Strong background in systems design and solutions architecture </li><li>Experience supporting on-prem or hybrid infrastructure, including containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) </li><li>Strong experience with Linux systems administration </li><li>Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.</li><li>Experience with CMake, GCC Compiler Collection, and/or GNU make</li><li>Knowledge of the compilation and linking process for C/C++, including the ability to resolve dependencies</li><li>Thorough understanding of full life-cycle development methodologies</li><li>Experience with creating packages for various package managers</li><li>Experience with cloud environments is a plus </li></ul> About SusquehannaSusquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation.
