Renviva is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse who is looking to make a difference in a hospital setting. You can make a exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure for chronic kidney disease.Dialysis experience preferred in hemodialysis and PD experience a plus. The candidate will need to be able to work independently and engage with Nephrologists, hospitalists and other hospital staff. Would work with 2 different hospitals.  Freeport and Dixon Il.  Call 2 days during the week and weekend call every 5th weekend.  Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of hemodialysis experience. Salary commensurate with experience.  FUNCTION:The Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and coordinating thesmooth and effective daily operation in the hospitals to maintain a safe,efficient environment to provide optimum patient care. The position is responsible for quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, teamwork, culture and employee satisfaction within a dialysis unit.The position is responsible for understanding, supporting, interpreting, andimplementing the philosophy and policies of the corporation.Assure the direction of assigned areas in accordance and compliance withstandards outlined in the facility procedure manuals, as well as regulations setforth by the company, state, and federal agencies.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:1. Demonstrates applicable knowledge of policies and procedures related toDialysis RN job descriptions.2. Coordinates and supervises patient care and daily operations of the dialysis unit at the hospitals.3. Provides leadership, direction, and encouragement to staff to developprofessional standards.4.  Manages time wisely and patient scheduling to optimize patient outcomes and laborexpense control.5. Assumes responsibility and utilizes opportunities for personal and professionalgrowth.6. Performs additional duties and is responsible for specific projects according toability and experience to keep the unit functioning as efficiently as possible.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. Current active RN state licensure.2. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.3. Minimum of 1 years experience in general nursing care plus minimum 6 monthsdialysis experience preferred.4. Excellent knowledge of water systems, bypass, and emergency water systemprocedures preferred.5. ICU/CCU experience desirable.6. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and general managementskills.7. Valid driver’s license and insurance when using automobile to travel for business purposes, ability to travel.8. Computer knowledge preferred.9. Demonstrates reliability, good work habits, and emotional maturity.10. Maintenance of current CPR Healthcare Recognition according to the AmericanHeart Association.11. Maintains a telephone and able to be contacted at home outside of normalbusiness operations.15. Description: 
This position is for a Med-Surg RN in a dynamic clinical setting. 
The nurse will care for patients in a medical-surgical unit with a wide variety of diagnoses. 
Common diagnoses include post-operative recovery, diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cellulitis, and more. 
Experience with CBI, BiPAP, peritoneal dialysis, surgical drains, and wound vacs is advantageous, though training is available for some of these procedures. 
Nurse-patient ratios are 1:4-5 during the day shifts and 1:5-6 during night shifts. 
Staff members rotate between different areas, providing a diverse work experience. 
Nursing assistants are available to help with patient care based on acuity. 
The charge nurse maintains a patient load, while supervision is available at all times. 
Patients may be on telemetry, but the RN does not interpret telemetry readings. 
Training or experience with tele tech is a bonus. 
Shifts are scheduled based on needs identified by management. 
Every other weekend and holiday rotation are part of the schedule. 
Floating to ICU or tele units may be required during high patient volume situations. 
Professional scrubs of any color are acceptable for this role.
