Essential Duties: Patient Care : Providing technical and nursing support to animal cancer patients, clinicians, students, and clients associated with the clinical trials service to include: intake of patients on clinical trials for appointments and obtaining detailed history from owners, obtaining vital signs and weight on canine and feline patients, sample collection (blood, urine, feces, tumor/lymph node aspirates) from trials patients, and assisting Dr. in physical examinations and data collection including lesion measurements and photo documentation. Position Summary: The Department of Clinical Sciences mission is to assure the health and productivity of animals to meet societal needs through high quality educational programs for professional veterinary medical students, graduates veterinarians, and the public through a faculty and veterinary medical center of excellence, and to advance and disseminate comparative biomedical knowledge in environment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
