Dispatchers monitor radio transmissions, demonstrate an understanding of terrain and operations, remain aware of current conditions and placement of resources across the mountain, assist in facilitating timely incident response, and prepare and maintain accurate records of operations and communications. Employees may encounter risks related to medical care, accident and emergency scenes, road and rescue conditions, violence, theft, fire suppression, and other known or unforeseen hazards, and are responsible for acting within their training to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.
