What You'll Be Doing As a Dispatcher at Nextech, you'll be the linchpin of field service operations. You'll coordinate schedules, manage service requests, and ensure that our technicians and customers are aligned, informed, and fully supported every step of the way. Your responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Managing real-time dispatch boards (manual and electronic) to ensure technician schedules are up to date</li><li>Communicating service updates, customer needs, and schedule changes to technicians and management</li><li>Tracking service history, updates, and customer communications in the database</li><li>Coordinating daily schedules to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion of work</li><li>Verifying technician check-ins/outs and confirming IVR compliance</li><li>Ensuring technicians have the correct parts and POs to complete jobs successfully</li><li>Providing world-class support to internal teams and customers - always with professionalism and urgency</li><li>Collaborating with Regional Service Managers to clear and schedule new calls</li><li>Managing data entry, purchasing, and internal support for your assigned region</li></ul>This is a role that requires precision, adaptability, and a strong commitment to excellence. The Comm Controller (Communication Dispatcher) will be the primary contact point for identifying, assessing, scheduling, notifying, and furnishing required communications support to affected organizations, including the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), other NASA centers, and international customers. Duties/Responsibilities<ul><li>Works with the test team when identifying outages, mission support requirements, and communication console control support. </li><li>Monitor communication systems status. </li><li>Monitor and control electronic facility access and control communication room facility. </li><li>Monitor and coordinate communications systems problems and issues during natural and man-made disasters. </li><li>Communicates, ascertains, and answers customer requests or inquiries concerning specific communication issues or problems and determines corrective action needed. </li><li>Translates or deciphers customer issues, problems, or work requirements so they can be scheduled and worked by the appropriate organization. </li><li>Based on the work requirements, issues or problems; generates work orders or trouble tickets for resolution. </li><li>Determines which organizations are affected and coordinates resources between organizations. </li><li>Operates communication control console system to receive and process trouble reports, coordinate circuit and equipment power outages with affected organizations. </li><li>Collaborates and works with customers, engineers, technicians, and field system specialists in resolving communication issues and work requirements. </li><li>Provide, update and maintain all required documentation, reports, and logs etc., manually or in electronic databases. </li><li>Make recommendations to improve work quality, efficiencies, and productivity. </li><li>Adhere to OSHA, NASA, Company and customer safety requirements. </li><li>May assist in training others. </li><li>When required, can perform the principal duties contained in the Production Control Coordinator position.</li><li>When required, can perform principal duties contained in the Telephone Operator position. </li></ul>RequirementsRequired Minimum Education and Years of Experience: <ul><li>Associate of Science* or Technical Trade School in Production Control, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field. </li><li>Experience may be substituted for Education: 1.5 years related experience is equivalent to 1 year of formal education.</li><li>SIx (6) years related experience or equivalent work. </li></ul>Required Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, Certifications, etc.:<ul><li>Complete understanding of communication principles, concepts, and practices. Develops solutions to a variety of communication systems problems. Work is performed under general direction. </li><li>Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing work assignments. Failure to achieve work assignments would normally have a serious effect upon the organization. Must successfully complete and maintain company and customer certification requirements.</li><li>Primarily office setting performing sedentary work with some walking, standing, and carrying light-weight objects.
