<h2> Trucking Operations - Dispatcher</h2>Be the Engine Behind Every Successful Delivery Location: Whitestown, Indiana Compensation:$24.00/hour Schedule: Thursday–Sunday<ul><li>Friday–Sunday: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM</li><li>Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM</li></ul><hr/><h2> Why This Role Matters</h2>At TCI, dispatchers are more than schedulers—they are the heartbeat of daily operations.As a Dispatcher, you’ll coordinate drivers, manage routes, ensure safety compliance, and keep customers satisfied—all while making real-time decisions that impact performance and profitability.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being the person who keeps everything running smoothly, this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact role.<hr/><h2> What You’ll Do</h2><h3> Operations & Dispatch Management</h3><ul><li>Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers to ensure all loads are covered</li><li>Monitor routes, schedules, and real-time changes to keep operations on track</li><li>Coordinate with teams to optimize routes, equipment, and staffing</li></ul><h3>️ Safety & Compliance</h3><ul><li>Ensure safety is always the #1 priority across operations</li><li>Monitor and enforce DOT, HOS (Hours of Service), and federal/state regulations</li><li>Audit driver logs and report discrepancies</li></ul><h3> Driver Support & Leadership</h3><ul><li>Train and support new and existing drivers on company policies and procedures</li><li>Conduct driver meetings and provide ongoing guidance and performance feedback</li><li>Ensure drivers are properly scheduled and show up ready for their shifts</li></ul><h3> Cross-Functional Coordination</h3><ul><li>Partner with Maintenance, Recruiting, Rental, and Safety teams</li><li>Coordinate equipment needs, repairs, and staffing requirements</li><li>Serve as a key point of contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams</li></ul><h3> Customer Service & Performance</h3><ul><li>Maintain strong customer relationships through daily communication</li><li>Ensure TCI meets or exceeds customer performance targets</li><li>Balance safety, cost control, and service excellence in every decision</li></ul><hr/><h2> What You Bring</h2><ul><li>Experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or operations (preferred)</li><li>Strong multitasking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>High attention to detail and organizational ability</li><li>Understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) (preferred)</li><li>Ability to lead, train, and support drivers</li><li>Strong sense of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork</li></ul><hr/><h2> What Sets You Apart</h2><ul><li>You stay calm under pressure and make smart, fast decisions</li><li>You take ownership of problems and solve them before they escalate</li><li>You understand the balance between safety, cost, and customer service</li><li>You’re dependable, flexible, and always ready to step in when needed</li></ul><hr/><h2> Work Environment & Expectations</h2><ul><li>On-site, hands-on operations role with high visibility</li><li>Requires flexibility for occasional nights, weekends, or holidays</li><li>Involves regular interaction with drivers, leadership, and customers</li><li>Fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly</li></ul><hr/><h2> Why Join TCI?</h2><ul><li>Competitive hourly pay at $24.00/hour</li><li>Be part of a team where your decisions directly impact operations</li><li>Gain experience across operations, safety, and logistics</li><li>Join a company that values safety, teamwork, and growth</li></ul><hr/><h2> About TCI Transportation</h2>Over 45 Years and CountingSince 1978, TCI Transportation has been dedicated to serving our clients with integrity, passion, and ingenuity.
