Your Job The Senior Electrical Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of power distribution systems. With extensive field experience, this role leads switching operations, supports maintenance and engineering teams, and ensures operational readiness across routine and emergency conditions. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership in safety practices, and the ability to bridge field execution with engineering intent. Our Team At Corpus Christi Refinery, 'E Ops' are recognized as subject matter experts regarding the power distribution system. Our E ops team operate and support 5 Main substations and ~ 75+ unit substations. We are a team of self-motivated professionals who collaborate effectively to minimize risk to ourselves, others, and the refinery by prioritizing safe practices and executing tasks correctly the first time. 'E Ops' is frequently relied upon to lead response efforts during major unplanned power distribution events, guiding the safe and efficient restoration of power to affected areas. What You Will Do <ul><li>Lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture during all electrical operations.</li><li>Conduct thorough job walkdowns with safety leads/execution teams to ensure hazard identification and mitigation.</li><li>Responsible for developing switching procedures and reviewing with Electrical reliability group</li><li>Execute complex power distribution switching to achieve safe system configurations for operations and maintenance.</li><li>Ensure all switching activities are performed with precision, accountability, and adherence to procedures.</li><li>Develop, review, and authorize high-quality permits for electrical work on power distribution equipment.</li><li>Perform AVO (Audio, Visual & Olfactory) rounds on substations and associated equipment.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of system conditions and operational activities.</li><li>Contribute to the creation, review, and continuous improvement of switching procedures.</li><li>Provide experienced input during job planning and walkdowns to enhance safety and efficiency.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergent electrical system issues.</li><li>Provide electrical operational support during turnarounds and major events.</li><li>Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams to gather field data and support troubleshooting efforts.</li><li>Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team environment.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency</li></ul> Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) <ul><li>5 years of experience in electrical operations, power distribution, or a related field</li><li>Demonstrated leadership in safety and operational decision-making</li><li>Ability to work independently and respond effectively under pressure</li></ul> What Will Put You Ahead <ul><li>Strong knowledge of high- and medium-voltage systems, switching procedures, and substation operations</li><li>Proven experience in permit writing, job planning, and field execution</li></ul> At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs. With modern amenities, an elevated club level, and twelve luxury box suites, Hilliard Center offers the perfect setting for unforgettable live experiences - from large-scale productions to intimate gatherings.Responsibilities<ul><li>Responsible for assisting with product receiving and distribution control for the venue.</li><li>Receive products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise</li><li>Perform transfers of products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse.</li><li>Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.</li><li>Perform physical inventory as needed.</li><li>Process requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures.</li><li>Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.</li><li>Fulfills all event expectations including but not limited to requisitioning during events, post-event break down, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation and maintenance.</li><li>Oversee and ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate and maintain integrity of product.</li><li>Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of concession and utility equipment, portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting.</li><li>Ensure manifested equipment is in location.</li><li>Ensure security of company assets.</li><li>Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.</li><li>Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.</li><li>Possess valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by local government.</li><li>Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements</li><li>Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to product inventory.</li><li>High School diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 2 years foodservice/hospitality experience; similar venue experience a plus.</li></ul>Strengthened by our Differences.
