Working as the Linen Distribution Manager, you are responsible for managing the hospital's laundry & linen program on-site at the healthcare facility to insure an adequate supply of clean linen for all user areas while professionally interacting with both the processing plant and hospital personnel and management as required.

	Key Responsibilities:


	
		Assigns duties as required and delegates distribution staff as necessary 
	
	
		Plans and schedules receiving, recording, distribution, and collection of work flow 
	
	
		Oversees housekeeping and general cleanliness of the linen room and associated work areas 
	
	
		Performs general and spot inspections as required of laundered articles to assure compliance with OSHA and JCAHO recommendations and requirements 
	
	
		Maintains records for department attendance, production efficiencies, linen tracking, etc. 
	
	
		Contacts departments in the hospital to obtain feedback and information regarding linen services 
	
	
		Participates in the central linen standardization committee as necessary 
	
	
		Interviews new employees and directs their orientation and training as required 
	
	
		Provides services as needed to departments with special requirements 
	
	
		Reports overuse, abuse, or misuse of linens, to include recommended actions to management and hospital contacts as necessary 
	
	
		Covers for distribution personnel as necessary due to absenteeism, vacation, sick, etc. in order to meet facility needs

This role ensures that what happens physically in the warehouse is accurately reflected in the ERP system and communicated clearly across operations, customer service, and logistics.  As a Team Lead, they serve as a floor-level leader across the facility’s warehouse team and enforce discipline and rigor on the floor and throughout the company’s systems and processes.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Maintain physical safety, food safety, and allergen control at all times</li><li>Enter and maintain inventory transactions in the ERP system (receipts, shipments, transfers, adjustments)</li><li>Own end-of-day ERP close; ensure all transactions are completed and accurate, and provide reporting and metrics to the Warehouse Manager</li><li>Prepare, review and upload shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing lists, and labels</li><li>Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory, production output, and system records; investigate and resolve variances </li><li>Coordinate shipment timing and priorities with Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations.</li><li>Collaborate with Purchasing and Accounting to resolve any receiving or invoicing discrepancies</li><li>Support inbound receiving documentation and lot traceability; apply serial number labels to all received items</li><li>Track and organize warehouse records for audits, food safety reviews, quality audits, and regulatory compliance</li><li>Assist with cycle counts, root-cause analysis, and year-end physical inventory counts</li><li>Help count and maintain accurate supply inventory</li><li>Serve as the go-to point of contact for warehouse documentation and ERP-related questions.</li><li>Provide coverage for shipping, receiving, order picking and forklift operation, as needed</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>4+ years in a warehouse clerk, inventory control, logistics, or operations support role preferred</li><li>Experience working in an ERP or WMS environment </li><li>Experience working in a food manufacturing or food distribution company</li><li>Strong attention to detail with demonstrated inventory accuracy and reconciliation skills</li><li>Strong communication skills with sound judgment on escalation and follow-up</li><li>Ability to work effectively between office and warehouse environments.</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred</li><li>Proficient in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel for basic reporting and data review.</li><li>Forklift certified</li></ul><h3>Success Looks Like</h3><ul><li>All inventory, shipping, and receiving transactions are accurately closed daily</li><li>Shipping documentation consistently matches physical shipments, minimizing customer issues</li><li>Reduced inventory discrepancies and cleaner handoffs between teams</li><li>Audit-ready warehouse documentation and strong compliance performance</li></ul><h3>Additional Expectations</h3><ul><li>This role may require weekend work, extended hours during peak periods, and participation in year-end physical inventory counts</li><li>A working understanding of food safety requirements, allergen controls, and temperature-sensitive products is required</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs</li><li>Must be able to work in temperature-controlled environments, including coolers and freezers</li></ul> Location: Downers Grove, Bolingbrook, or Carol Stream, ILReports To: Warehouse Manager
