(NYSE: PWR). </p><p>Build your career at Irby Construction.</p><h4>About this Role</h4><p>A Journeyman Lineman (Transmission/Distribution) at Irby Construction Company will be expected to build, maintain, and repair overhead transmission, distribution, and underground distribution lines using approved standards under direction of the Crew Foreman. Responsible for safe operation of equipment and operations on digger trucks (line trucks) and bucket trucks in order to construct and maintain electrical systems of de-energized overhead transmission lines and energized overhead and underground distribution systems. <strong>THIS JOB WILL BE FOR THE IMPERIAL VALLEY AND COACHELLA VALLEY.</strong></p><h4>What You'll Do</h4><ul><li>Has worked in the line industry as a journeyman lineman for at least 2 years</li><li>Must be able to conduct a Job Task Safety Analysis (JTSA) as required</li><li>Able to string, sag, clip, and dead-end conductor</li><li>Must be experienced in grounding conductor and setting up an Equipotential Workzone</li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Ability to ascend and descend poles of all types to change out crossarms, transformers and repair conductors, etc., as well as maintains current knowledge of equipment, and OSHA regulations</li><li>Ability to lead crew during on call rotation</li><li>Ability to interpret maps, specifications, staking sheets, and complex diagrams.</li><li>Ability to maintain records required for time worked and materials</li></ul><ul><li>Thorough knowledge of first-aid, safety rules, line materials and tools and their use</li><li>Good judgment, safe work methods, and ability to work well with diverse groups of people</li><li>Must perform Pole Top Rescue and Bucket Rescue</li><li>Assist in training Apprentice Lineman</li><li>Ability to lead in Crew Forman’s absence</li><li>Inspects, maintains company equipment, and trucks in safe working order</li></ul><h4>What You'll Bring</h4><ul><li>Must have at least 2 years of experience as a journeyman lineman</li><li>Must be able to work outside during all weather conditions and terrain on a regular and/on-call basis, in a safe and productive manner</li><li>Must have a class A or B Commercial Driver’s License</li><li>May move up to 50 pounds in a safe manner</li><li>Must be able to work at heights and/or confined space</li><li>Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis</li></ul><h4>What You'll Get</h4><ul><li>Paid Vacation </li><li>Paid Holidays</li><li>Medical </li><li>Dental </li><li>Vision</li><li>401K</li></ul><h4>Compensation Range</h4>The anticipated compensation for this position is - depending on experience and qualifications.<h4>Equal Opportunity Employer</h4><p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
