Safety, accuracy, and professionalism are key as you represent Eastern Industrial Supplies at customer locations.In addition, you will provide inside sales support by assisting with order entry, preparing quotes, or helping customers over the phone. You will work closely with vendors and team members to source materials, track order statuses, and ensure timely fulfillment. Whether answering customer questions, handling returns, or helping expedite an order, you play an important role in delivering a high-quality customer experience. Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Driving<ul><li>Load, secure, and deliver materials to customers and branch locations</li><li>Follow assigned routes and ensure timely, accurate deliveries</li><li>Communicate with team members regarding delivery status and issues</li></ul>Warehouse Operations<ul><li>Receive, stock, pick, pack and ship orders accurately</li><li>Operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li><li>Assist with inventory counts and material organization</li></ul>Sales Support / Customer Service<ul><li>Assist with order entry, quotes, and product sourcing</li><li>Communicate with vendors to check availability and place orders</li><li>Track order status and provide updates to customers and team members</li><li>Process returns, credits, and documentation accurately</li><li>Provide customer support with prompt, courteous service</li></ul>This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that blends physical work with customer interaction. This role is responsible for conducting field surveys and pole staking services in support of electric distribution infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with utility pole assessment, field data collection, and staking processes for electric distribution systems. Candidates with experience in RUS (Rural Utilities Service) or Electric Cooperative environments are strongly preferred.</div> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <div>Field Survey Services:</div><ul><li>Verification of Existing Poles: Confirm presence and structural integrity of existing utility poles.</li><li>Condition Assessment: Document structural condition, damages, or safety issues requiring repair or replacement.</li><li>New Pole Requirements: Identify locations needing new pole installations based on field and engineering data.</li><li>Data Collection & Reporting: Capture and report field data including photographs, GPS coordinates, and detailed condition assessments.</li></ul><div>Pole Staking Services:</div><ul><li>Survey and Marking: Accurately identify and mark pole locations according to engineering plans. Prepare and submit work orders using utility-provided software tools.</li><li>Site Assessment: Evaluate field conditions including soil stability, terrain, and proximity to existing utilities or obstructions.</li><li>Permitting Coordination: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
