Responsibilities • Perform on-site installation, removal, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical seals and seal support systems • Support customers during commissioning/startup and shutdown of pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment • Investigate and resolve seal failures and equipment performance issues in partnership with Reliability, Claims, and Sales teams • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for seal-related issues in the field • Deliver hands-on training to end users on mechanical seal operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting • Identify recurring service trends and communicate insights to internal teams to drive continuous improvement • Serve as the technical, customer-facing resource for complex service challenges at industrial sites • Support aftermarket sales efforts by recognizing new opportunities during site visits. Qualifications • Direct experience with mechanical seal installation, removal, and troubleshooting (required) • 5-10 years in a field service, maintenance, or rotating equipment role • Strong mechanical aptitude; vocational training or technical certifications preferred • Familiarity with pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment • Skilled in real-time problem-solving and independent fieldwork with minimal supervision • Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic reporting • Ability to meet physical and travel requirements (up to 75%, lift 50 lbs., industrial environments).
