What You'll Do: <ul><li>Oversee and be responsible for the latest in working on the latest video and skill games, kitchen equipment, register systems and coin and ticket mechanisms </li><li>Oversee and be responsible for the latest arcade games, register and IT systems and ticket dispensers </li><li>Manage the electrical and mechanical aspects of the game room; perform daily preventative maintenance and repairs </li><li>Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace defective electronic components, boards and computers </li><li>Operate stage show equipment and manage repairs and preventative maintenance, including compressor operation, lighting and sound, pneumatics, mac valves, cylinders, boards and stage show cosmetics </li><li>Maintain an inventory of electronic equipment, mechanical parts and tools </li><li>Maintain a budget </li><li>Maintain a safety-focused attitude at all times </li></ul>Skills We're Looking For: <ul><li>Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot down to the component board level </li><li>Planning, organization and multi-tasking skills </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Time management and a sense of urgency </li><li>Military experience, a technical degree, or previous electrical or mechanical training, preferred </li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>Must be able to work up to 45 hours per week </li><li>Must have a high school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience </li></ul>Essential Job Functions and Work Environment: <ul><li>Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds during scheduled shift. </li><li>Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during scheduled shift. </li><li>In addition to the essential job responsibilities stated above, the ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others, including guests and Team members, are essential functions of the job. </li><li>The work environment includes flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise. SACC (School Age Child Care) Staff care for and guide children ages 5-12 while engaging them in a safe, fun and educational recreational experience. Along with the rest of the SACC team, you will support youth development through creative program planning and role modeling of the Ys character development values while building strong relationships with the entire family. <ul><li>Before School Program runs 6:45-9am</li><li>After School Program runs 2:30-6pm</li></ul>Eligible for Bonus! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>Establish positive rapport with children, parents, program staff, school or site administrators and their staff (principals, teachers, secretaries, church administrators, custodians, etc.).</li><li>Cooperate and collaborate with lead staff in the planning, supervision, and implementation of all program activities.</li><li>Interact with kids at all times and participate in all activities with the children, be it indoor, outdoor, field trips, sports, crafts, studying, free time, etc.</li><li>Role model leadership, character values and relationship-building skills in all interactions with children and their families.</li><li>Maintain a professional appearance and be prepared to make all parents, families, and children feel comfortable with all questions answered. Provide a warm, caring atmosphere for children ensuring all of them are treated equally with dignity and respect.</li><li>Assist in maintaining all equipment, supplies, snack inventories, appearance, and cleanliness of the program space in accordance with the school/site Formal Agreement.</li><li>Ensure the safety and whereabouts of all children and that safe conditions exist at all times.</li><li>Assist in maintaining all of the children's records/files and keep them in a designated staff only location along with medications, first aid supplies, etc.</li><li>Assist in ensuring all licensing requirements are being met & accurately complete required forms (e.g. fire/safety checklist, medical log book, accident forms, sign in/out sheets, etc.).</li><li>Implement and maintain the YMCA discipline program that inspires positive behavior and discourages conduct that is not aligned with the Ys character development values.</li><li>Encourage respect for personal property, YMCA equipment and facilities.</li><li>Attend all staff meetings/in-services and required training sessions per licensing.</li><li>Act according to facility protocol to ensure safety of all staff and children which includes: <ul><li>Adhere to policies related to boundaries with staff and children.</li><li>Attend required abuse risk management training.</li><li>Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.</li><li>Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.</li><li>Ensure unused rooms and closets remain locked, routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker rooms and bathrooms), etc.</li><li>Ensure children are properly signed in and out, ensure only authorized adults are allowed in the facility, etc.</li></ul></li></ul>SKILLS AND TRAINING<ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age per Wisconsin licensing requirements.</li><li>Must have satisfactorily completed one non-credit or credit approved course in early education or its equivalent at an institution of higher education; or complete within 6 months of hire.</li><li>Experience working or volunteering with school-age children is preferred.</li><li>Must be mature, have good communication skills, enjoy working with children and planning a variety of activities, and be able to relate well to children, adults and school/site staff.</li><li>Certification in CPR is required within 30 days of employment. First Aid certification may be required. Training is provided. </li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>A health examination must take place 1 year prior to or within 30 days after beginning work and shall indicate the following: <ul><li>Person is free from illness detrimental to children, including tuberculosis</li><li>Person is physically able to work with young children</li></ul></li><li>The ability to lift 10 pounds: move furniture and equipment, chairs and tables; engage in active children's games, spots and other activities is required.</li><li>Summer staff: As First Responder, the ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, move quickly, and/or lift at least 30 pounds with or without assistance is required. </li></ul>COMPETENCIES<ul><li>Building Relationships: Connect people to the Ys cause by developing inclusive relationships and collaboration.
