Activities include, but are not limited to, being knowledgeable of individual hospital policies related to the donation of all anatomical gifts; able to identify key personnel who are capable of improving and maintain a hospital's level of participation in facilitating potential organ and tissue donors; and performing activities related to the initial and surgical recovery elements of the donation process. Provides input and assists in the facilitation of the referral/donor process, and the organ recovery process using knowledge of critical care principles such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and administration of critical care medications under guidance of preceptor .
