We are seeking a Senior MBSE Drafter to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at St Inigoes, MD. The successful candidate will lead advanced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) drafting efforts to design, simulate, and analyze system behavior across manned and unmanned airborne, shipborne, fixed, and mobile platforms—including integrated sensor systems.This role will be instrumental in refining MBSE tools, workflows, and methodologies to improve design accuracy, data traceability, and collaborative system integration. The Senior Drafter will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce detailed digital models that support mission-critical systems.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and maintain system models using MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or Enterprise Architect.</li><li>Translate system and subsystem requirements into detailed functional and behavioral models.</li><li>Apply systems engineering principles to support lifecycle development, integration, and verification activities.</li><li>Refine and optimize drafting processes to enhance efficiency and model fidelity.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DoD and industry MBSE standards, frameworks, and best practices.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, analysis, and design teams to model complex systems and support technical reviews.</li><li>Support configuration management and documentation of model artifacts for traceability and audit readiness.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Active Secret security clearance is required.</li><li>Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years supporting Department of Defense programs focused on sensor technologies and systems.</li><li>Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Computer Science, or IT discipline (or qualifying equivalent experience).</li><li>Expertise with MBSE environments, system modeling languages (SysML/UML), and systems engineering processes.</li><li>Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience supporting Department of the Navy or other service branches within NAVWAR or NAVAIR commands.</li><li>Familiarity with digital engineering ecosystems and model-based documentation workflows.</li><li>Certification in MBSE or Systems Engineering (e.g., INCOSE ASEP/CSEP or equivalent).</li></ul>BenefitsAt RMC, we're committed to your career growth! Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Serve as a writer for proposal technical and management volumes primarily in support of Defense, Aerospace and other government agency opportunities</li><li>Research, organize, draft, and edit technical proposals</li><li>Draft compelling and compliant technical content</li><li>Gather information in a variety of ways such as brainstorming sessions, white-boarding, interviews, research, consolidation of previously developed written materials, and translate it into original text</li><li>Edit and refine written or oral inputs from technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Sector Leads into winning proposal content</li><li>Tailor/re-purpose archived content to meet similar requirements</li><li>Draft responses to Government Requests for Information (RFI) or Sources Sought (SS), working either independently using archived information or conducting research, or as part of a team with an assigned technical SME</li><li>Support AVIAN Director of Proposals and the proposal team throughout the proposal process   </li><li>Assist in proposal strategy development; define, and help articulate “win themes”, strengths, and discriminators</li><li>Create/Revise/Tailor proposal artifacts</li><li>Adhere to proposal schedule and deadlines</li><li>Ensure that AVIAN proposals are grammatically correct and maintain a consistent tone or voice</li><li>Identify and edit the most relevant past performance examples and resumes</li><li>Participate in proposal phases, activities, and milestones including the kickoff meeting, teammate meetings, data calls, brainstorming sessions, proposal reviews</li><li>Assist in execution of Color Team recovery plans and final editing of final version</li><li>Produce narrative sections that reflect win strategy and address all evaluation factors and criteria</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field Required Experience: Five years’ experience performing government proposal preparation functions, including at least two years specifically drafting, refining, and editing Request for Proposal (RFP) technical narratives and past performances.  Understanding of DoD organizations, structures, and acronyms. Required Skills:<ul><li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, including features used for long documents. Excellent written and communication skills.</li><li>Technical writing and editing, including editorial practice and standards.
