AutoCAD Drafter 
This position is ONSITE at Cape Canaveral, FL. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer-Aided Designer (Drafter) to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves creating technical drawings and 3D models for structural steel, movable platforms, architectural features, and other facility modifications. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency with Autodesk products, particularly AutoCAD, and experience drafting for heavy industrial, aerospace, or similar industries. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare detailed 2D drawings and technical documents using AutoCAD for projects involving structural steel, movable platforms, and architectural elements.</li><li>Create and revise 3D models using Autodesk Inventor as needed.</li><li>Develop drawing sheets for modifications to aerospace ground systems and support facilities, including launch pads, vertical integration facilities, and office buildings.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure drawings meet project specifications and industry standards.</li><li>Review and interpret design concepts provided by the engineering team.</li><li>Maintain accurate drawing files and records in compliance with company protocols.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Proven experience as a CAD designer or drafter with expertise in Autodesk software, especially AutoCAD (Inventor experience is a bonus).</li><li>Familiarity with drafting structural steel, movable platforms, and architectural features is highly preferred.</li><li>Prior experience working in related industries, such as aerospace ground systems, heavy industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects, is a plus.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and organized technical documents.</li><li>Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li></ul>

JOB TITLE: Technical Drafter REPORTS TO: Drafting Supervisor DIRECT REPORTS: None JOB PURPOSE: The Technical Drafter is a contract position that performs computer-aided drafting and support for engineers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Create and edit mechanical, assembly, electrical and/or control drawings to meet specifications utilizing Solid Works. Create original drawings from hand sketches and CAD models · Review drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards · Assist engineer with parts lists, cost estimating, and plans & specifications development · Follow customer processes and procedures · Initiate follow-up to update documentation when any changes may occur · Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MECHANICAL SKILLS Ability to use and perform tasks using basic mechanical tools (i.e., screw drivers, wrenches, voltmeter…. etc.) as well as occasionally climbing ladders. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to convert between metric and imperial measurement systems. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of drafting and experience with CAD, SolidWorks, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Must be familiar with ASME drawing standards.
