This role combines deep SAP technical and functional expertise with strong industry knowledge to design, govern, and deliver scalable, resilient, and high‑impact SAP solutions that support asset‑intensive, regulated, and operationally complex environments.Operating as both a Solution Architect and Delivery Leader, this role ensures SAP programs successfully transition from solutioning through execution while meeting critical regulatory, operational, and business objectives specific to Utilities and Oil & Gas organizations, including reliability, compliance, asset management, and financial integrity.Solution Architects assess a projects technical feasibility and implementation risks and are responsible for the design and implementation of the overall technical and solution architecture. They define system structures, interfaces, and solution principles that guide enterprise architecture, software design, and delivery execution. The scope of the role is driven by the business challenge being addressed, requiring the architect to apply deep business understanding alongside SAP and technology expertise.At the Solution / Delivery Architect Director level, this role is accountable for owning, shaping, and driving the solution, leading successful delivery outcomes, and strengthening the strategic partnership between Capgemini and the client. The architect understands the challenges, complexities, and opportunities inherent in Utilities and Oil & Gas environments, aligns solution design to enterprise architecture principles, and governs execution to ensure successful implementation. The role also identifies and evaluates technical evolution scenarios, defines governance models, and supports program‑level leadership.Your Role<ul><li>Own and design end‑to‑end SAP solution architecture across Utilities and Oil & Gas landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA and industry‑specific solutions.</li><li>Translate complex business, operational, and regulatory requirements into cohesive, scalable SAP architectures.</li><li>Define architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and transition strategies aligned to enterprise architecture principles.</li><li>Ensure solution designs support long‑term business strategy, system sustainability, and operational reliability.</li></ul>Utilities Industry Focus<ul><li>Lead solution architecture and delivery for SAP Utilities (IS‑U) environments.</li><li>Ensure seamless integration between SAP IS‑U, SAP S/4HANA, and related platforms.</li></ul>Oil & Gas Industry Focus (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream)<ul><li>Provide architectural leadership across Oil & Gas value chains, including:</li><li>Upstream: Exploration, production, joint venture accounting.</li><li>Midstream: Transportation, logistics, pipeline operations.</li><li>Downstream: Refining, distribution, trading, and retail.</li><li>Align SAP S/4 solutions to Oil & Gas operational and reporting requirements.</li><li>Lead end‑to‑end solutioning and proposal responses for $50M+ TCV pursuits, including effort estimation, resourcing, commercial models (including outcome‑based), and value‑driven business cases. Mobilize cross‑BL teams and resolve pursuit complexity.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor to Director‑level and above stakeholders. Deliver compelling executive presentations and oral submissions; align stakeholders on vision, scope, roadmap, and outcomes.</li><li>Lead solution blueprinting, architecture, and program strategy across the full delivery lifecycle. Champion Capgemini delivery methods, tools, and execution excellence while ensuring capabilities align to market demand.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Expert in SAP S/4HANA transformation approaches (greenfield/brownfield) and organizational change. Apply Capgemini OCM approach to drive adoption and sustainable outcomes (OCM bootcamp required).</li><li>Able to lead and represent the entire proposal, ensuring the quality of proposal delivery through the mobilization and motivation of appropriate teams (Capabilities on/off, peer solution architects, domain experts across BLs, etc).</li><li>Understand clients pain points, opportunities, and business context.</li><li>Able to own plan and deliver an entire oral presentation across Capgemini lines of business for an opportunity in excess of $50 million.</li><li>Able to lead the delivery of a solution business blueprint that will satisfy business requirements and enable timely and profitable delivery on projects greater than $50 million.</li><li>Able to take a leadership role on a program shaping strategy and roadmap across Capgemini lines of business.</li></ul>Your Skills and Experience<ul><li>Bachelors Degree.</li><li>15+ years of professional experience in SAP and Large Scale Transformations with an emphasis in IS-U (Oil & Gas).</li><li>5 + full lifecycle implementations, with strong S/4HANA experience.</li><li>Proven experience delivering S/4HANA greenfield and/or brownfield programs.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP technologies.</li><li>S/4HANA, BTP, current and emerging patterns for a composable enterprise including: Analytics, Data, Integration, Best of Breed / Best of Suite for Line of Business solutions, and ability to stitch SAP and non-SAP applications together across the application topology to deliver outcomes for client.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership in complex, multi-workstream programs and cross-functional stakeholder management.</li><li>Strong workshop facilitation skills (business capability/process, value case, solution tradeoffs).</li><li>Strong written and verbal executive communication (proposal narrative, exec summaries, oral presentations).</li><li>Experience in consulting environment preferred (Big 4/large SI preferred per your criteria).</li><li>SAP certifications relevant to domain expertise.</li><li>Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF) and/or methodology credentials where applicable.</li><li>Able to lead and represent the entire proposal, ensuring the quality of proposal delivery through the mobilization and motivation of appropriate teams (Capabilities on/off, peer solution architects, domain experts across BLs, etc).</li><li>Understand clients pain points, opportunities, and business context.</li><li>Can create and articulate a north star for the engagement, and the business benefits which the proposal will deliver for the client.</li><li>Able to own plan and deliver an entire proposal response from specific reference to a clients requirements, and Oil & Gas industry, including the executive summary, for an opportunity in excess of $50 million, TCV.</li><li>Capable of doing this for proposals that span Capgemini lines of business across the SBU, playing as #OneCapgemini.</li></ul>Compensation and BenefitsThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $123,750-$288,000.Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
