General Summary Performs duties related to exploration activities as required. May require operation of the drill and/or other mobile equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Also assists in the handling and testing of samples from the drilling/exploration operation in a laboratory environment. Essential Job Accountabilities <ul><li>Work with Exploration Lead - Driller in the drilling and sampling of soil, sand, gravel, and stone. </li><li>Must comply with all company safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations </li><li>Assist in maintaining mobile and drilling equipment (greases, fuels, and performs minor mechanic work) and other equipment used by the Exploration crew. </li><li>Performs manual labor by assembling and disassembling equipment </li><li>Maintains and completes all required paperwork accurately and timely </li><li>May require transportation of equipment to and from each project </li><li>Assists with surveying and GPS tasks as used in the sand and gravel industry </li><li>Assists with exploration sample analysis, (i.e., gradations, specific gravity, etc.) </li><li>Will perform other duties as assigned by the Exploration Lead - Driller </li></ul> Education <ul><li>High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience </li></ul> Work Experience <ul><li>Appropriate training and experience required </li><li>Experience in the mining industry, particularly in the area of exploration or environmental/geotechnical drilling is a plus </li></ul> Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Workers should be able to: <ul><li>Follow specific directions </li><li>Perform a variety of duties which may often change </li><li>Work within standards of accuracy </li><li>Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure </li><li>Evaluate information using measurable standards. </li></ul> Physically, workers must be able to: <ul><li>Stand or walk for long periods </li><li>Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects </li><li>Frequently lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds </li><li>Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment </li><li>Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction). </li></ul> What can Lehman-Roberts Co do for you?
