We are currently seeking an experienced Driller to support our environmental and geotechnical drilling programs in Western New York (Buffalo Area). Other duties may be assigned:<ul><li>Physically place, remove, or modify working and non-working equipment including the following:</li><li>Install superstructure components in support of cabling systems such as auxiliary bars, threaded rods, cable racking, cable trays, wire basket systems, etc...</li></ul><ul><li>Cutting, filing, drilling, modifying infrastructure components and working with various tools such as bandsaw, hammer drill, jigsaw, ratchet/sockets, etc...</li></ul><ul><li>Installation of data equipment cabinets and frames, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls.</li><li>Making connections terminations to BDFBs and fuse panels.</li><li>Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route power cables to servers, switches, and other equipment, adhering to electrical safety standards.</li><li>Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route fiber optic and copper cables for high-speed data transmission, ensuring precise cable management and minimal signal loss</li><li>Set up and install power distribution units (PDUs), ensuring redundancy and proper load balancing to prevent power issues.</li><li>Conduct testing and document performance characteristics of hardware and software; determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system.</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct fiber light meter, CAT5/6 and volt ohm meter testing to ensure proper levels, continuity, and termination points.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform advanced test and turn-up as well as other integration activities.</li><li>Resolve equipment and technical issues as they arise.</li><li>Read, analyze, and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)</li><li>Perform quality validation on in-process and completed work.</li><li>Complete operations paperwork (e.g., expense reports, timesheets, job documentation, etc.) including daily job status reports as requested.</li><li>May oversee the work of less experienced installers; assume responsibility for the successful completion of installation projects.</li><li>Act as a customer contact; interface with customers and local supervisors regarding project status</li><li>Interact with all members of the organization including Installation, Engineering, Project Management</li><li>Perform other duties as requested.</li></ul>SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Adhere to, promote, and accept personal responsibility for compliance to:</li></ul>Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health RegulationsIndustry Consensus Standards<ul><li>Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis</li></ul>QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
