As our Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all purchased materials meet our rigorous quality standards. About this Role:
PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC  is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Mechanic to support our construction and utility operations in the Kansas City area. This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of company vehicles and heavy equipment used in electrical transmission, distribution, substation, and drilling projects.The Field Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient jobsite operations. This position requires a strong mechanical background, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to safety and quality.

What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and small tools used in construction and utility operations</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and equipment</li><li>Service and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components</li><li>Respond to field service calls and perform repairs at job sites as needed</li><li>Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation</li><li>Ensure all equipment meets safety and DOT compliance standards</li><li>Coordinate with operations and fleet management to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime</li><li>Order and manage parts, tools, and supplies necessary for repairs</li><li>Operate service trucks and maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment</li><li>Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE</li><li>Assist with equipment mobilization and demobilization as needed</li></ul>

What You'll Bring:
<ul><li>3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in construction, utility, or heavy equipment environments</li><li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment repair</li><li>Experience working on bucket trucks, digger derricks, trailers, and similar utility equipment preferred</li><li>Ability to diagnose and repair equipment independently in field conditions</li><li>Understanding of DOT regulations and equipment compliance standards</li><li>Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple service requests</li><li>Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork</li><li>Willingness to work outdoors, travel locally or regionally, and work extended hours as needed</li></ul>
