Job Title: CDL Trainer/ Training Provider (Class A & B) Location: Memphis, TN & Tunica, Ms. Company: Xcelente Trucking & Logistics Training Center Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Summary: Xcelente Training Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated CDL Trainer to deliver high-quality instruction for Class A, Class B, refresher courses, and entry-level driver training. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a commitment to safety, and the skills to support students of all experience levels in meeting FMCSA standards and preparing for successful careers in commercial driving.Key Responsibilities:·         Instruct students in both classroom and behind-the-wheel settings for Class A and Class B commercial licenses.·         Provide hands-on training in vehicle inspection, shifting, maneuvering, road skills, and safety procedures.·         Deliver refresher training to experienced drivers returning to the industry.·         Support and mentor entry-level drivers as they develop foundational skills and confidence.·         Monitor student progress and provide feedback and coaching as needed.·         Maintain accurate documentation of student attendance, progress, and evaluations.·         Ensure all instruction complies with FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations.·         Promote a positive learning environment and uphold a culture of safety and professionalism.Qualifications:Valid CDL Class A license required (Class B experience preferred).·         Minimum 5 years of recent commercial driving experience.·         Prior teaching, training, or coaching experience are strongly preferred.·         Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and safety standards.·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.·         Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in student success.·         Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.Preferred:·         Instructor certification (or willingness to obtain).·         Experience training in both manual and automatic transmissions.Benefits:·         Flexible scheduling·         Paid training and ongoing professional development·         Supportive and mission-driven work environment·         Opportunities for career advancement
