This role requires a strong background in construction management, a deep knowledge of pile-driving techniques, and the ability to lead a team effectively. The Pile Driving Superintendent plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.  Required Skills Key Responsibilities:<ol><li>Project Planning and Coordination:<ul><li>Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive project plans for pile-driving operations.</li><li>Coordinate with other construction disciplines to ensure seamless integration of pile-driving activities with overall project timelines.</li></ul></li><li>Team Leadership:<ul><li>Lead, motivate, and manage a team of pile drivers, equipment operators, and support staff.</li><li>Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, safety protocols, and performance expectations.</li></ul></li><li>Safety Compliance:<ul><li>Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on the construction site.</li><li>Ensure that all pile driving activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.</li></ul></li><li>Quality Control:<ul><li>Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that pile installations meet project specifications and engineering standards.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify and address any quality issues promptly.</li></ul></li><li>Equipment Management:<ul><li>Oversee the maintenance and operation of pile driving equipment, ensuring that it is in optimal condition and meets safety standards.</li><li>Coordinate with equipment managers to schedule routine maintenance and repairs.</li></ul></li><li>Cost Management:<ul><li>Work closely with the project management team to monitor and control project costs related to pile-driving activities.</li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.</li></ul></li><li>Subcontractor Coordination:<ul><li>Manage relationships with subcontractors involved in pile-driving activities.</li><li>Review and negotiate subcontractor agreements, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual obligations.</li></ul></li><li>Communication:<ul><li>Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients.</li><li>Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to pile driving activities promptly.</li></ul></li><li>Documentation and Reporting:<ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and incident reports.</li><li>Provide regular updates to project management regarding the status of pile driving activities.</li></ul></li><li>Continuous Improvement:<ul><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in pile-driving operations.</li><li>Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative techniques when applicable.</li></ul></li></ol>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).</li><li>Extensive experience in pile-driving operations, with a proven track record of successful project completion.</li><li>Strong leadership and communication skills.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, construction codes, and quality standards.</li><li>Familiarity with construction project management software.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic construction environment.</li></ul> Physical Demands<ul><li>Travel will be required to attend training and meetings.</li><li>Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift</li><li>Occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.</li><li>Ability to lift, frequently, at least 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to speak, write, and understand English clearly.</li></ul> Required Experience Traylor Bros., Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, genetic information, pregnancy, disability, protected activity, or other non-merit factors.
