This position will be involved in the preparation of cold and hot food that meets company standards and quality. We are currently looking for a: Dutch Wonderland Inn Line Cook Roles & Responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities: • Prepare workstations with supplies, foods, and condiments • Focus on delivering exceptional food quality for all meals prepared • Inspect and clean all food preparation areas • Strictly abide by standards set forth by ServSafe, state and local regulations, company policy, and other food regulatory standards that may apply at Dutch Wonderland • Become knowledgeable of all food products and ingredients used • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using various kitchen utensils and equipment season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment • Assist with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, slicing, fruits and vegetables • Utilize ovens, fryers, broilers, griddles, mixers, and knives to prepare food (age restrictions may apply) • Ensure food and ingredients are being properly stored at the correct temperatures • Seasons and cooks each item according to the recipe and menu • Plate the prepared food appropriately • Pre-portion individual packaging sauces, sandwiches, salads, and other items • Label and track life of stored food to ensure suitable food safety and quality • Rotate food items out of storage by using the newly prepped items last • Assist with managing kitchen inventory and replenishing food items that were used • Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure a high level of safety and efficiency • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment • Sweep and mop floors within the food preparation areas, to ensure that food residue does not accumulate • Ensure that all work areas, food and equipment/utensils used are cleaned, stowed and secured in preparation for the next day's work, in accordance with state and local sanitation protocols • All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience: • No education requirements for this position • Culinary arts education a plus, but not required • 1+ year of previous experience as a chef, cook, or another culinary-related role highly desired, but not required. • Must be Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines. Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus. Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with PA Child Labor Laws • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Ability to comply with all uniform policies • Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner • Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulations • Ability to use kitchen equipment, knives, and appliances in a safe and effective manner • Must possess a general knowledge and interest in food preparation or culinary arts • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday • Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders • Ability to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more • Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner Working Conditions: • This role will predominantly be based in a kitchen environment • Potential to be asked to work in other indoor or outdoor areas of the park, as needed • Some exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions • Subject to the handling of and exposure to oils, chemicals, detergents, and cleaners (age restrictions apply) • Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments Team member benefits: Working at Dutch Wonderland is about making people happy! The Dining Room Attendant will have a customer service focused attitude and a commitment to ensuring the highest standard of service to provide a positive guest experience. We are currently looking for a: Dutch Wonderland Inn Dining Room Attendant Roles & Responsibilities: Roles and Responsibilities: • Develop a strong rapport with guests by greeting them in a friendly and enthusiastic manner • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards • Strictly abide by standards set forth by ServSafe, state and local regulations, company policy, and other food regulatory standards that may apply at Dutch Wonderland Inn • Understands and applies all health department standards • Present menus to guests and inform them of specials and promotions • Make suggestions based on your guests' questions and concerns about the menu • Develop strong knowledge of each menu item, including capabilities of adapting dishes for guest requests and/or food allergies. • Check guest identification when necessary to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages • Take guest orders and accurately communicate them to the kitchen • Serve all food and beverages in a friendly and timely manner • Checks back frequently with guests to ensure all needs and expectations are being met • Present the guest with their check and process their payment by using Point-of-Sale (POS) system for check processing • Remove soiled dishes and glasses from tables and counters and take them to the kitchen for washing • Stock and clean service areas and tables, as needed • Assist with rolling silverware and stocking server stations with supplies, whenever needed • Replenish salt, pepper, sugar, cream, and all other condiments • Escalate safety, hygienic, or maintenance issues to the proper authorities in a timely manner • Promptly notify the security team or the manager of team member and guest injuries or emergencies • All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience: • No education requirements for this position • Three or more months restaurant or previous server experience preferred but not required Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
