Ability to: test instruments such as multimeters, power monitors, ammeters, meggers and line tracers; act as a signing journey-level electrician for permits and inspections; fully utilize, read, update and create complex electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, prints, plans and drawings; accurately troubleshoot and repair complex motor controls and a large variety of critical electro-mechanical systems; repair and replace defective parts in motors, generators, pumps, relays, switch gears, controllers, motor control centers, power monitors, HVAC controls, emergency and alarm systems and other electrical equipment and components; carry out verbal and written instructions for assigned work and determine job requirements, repair sequence, parts acquisition and labor time estimates; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; and perform all essential functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation. Performs journey-level electrical work on industrial and commercial machinery including: troubleshooting; conducting repairs; and installing and maintaining electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), motor control cabinets, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generator backup systems, motors, panels, switchgear and related electrical components throughout wastewater facilities and other public works utilities.
