Summary: Mechanical Engineers are responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to creating, reviewing, and executing various engineering drawings and documents, performing calculations, reviewing the work of other engineers, writing reports and bid evaluations, create construction schedules and adjusting them based on construction conditions, perform field walkdowns, troubleshooting and problem solving, conduct field sketching and redline drawings, and monitoring daily construction activities etc. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the site construction office, outlining items of concern such as safety report, non-conformance, materials and weather delays, site clean-up, congestion, infrastructure, manpower loading, quality control and potential contract extras, RFI logs, CR logs, etc.
