Under limited direction of Special Education Program Administrator will provide quality language, speech and hearing services to severely handicapped, orthopedically handicapped, seriously emotionally disturbed, deaf, or communicatively handicapped students, ages 18 months to 22 years, through a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs; a functional, community based curriculum; communication and social skill development; interagency cooperation, and a strong parent-teacher-student linkage. The Superintendent prohibits sexual harassment of San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) employees and job applicants, as well as retaliatory behavior or action against employees or other persons who complain, testify, or otherwise participate in the complaint process established pursuant to this policy and administrative regulation.
