EEG Technician- EEG Description: Schedule patients for procedures Gather patient#s medical history, explain tests, and prepare the patient for his/her procedure Perform routine and sleep-deprived EEGs Operate mobile EEG unit Monitor/reassure patient during testing - note findings Report findings to the patient#s doctor for further analysis Maintain reports and distribute to appropriate referring physician Ensure documentation is accurate and timely# Will cross-train in department as needed Able to perform quality tracings using accepted ASET guidelines Able to function proficiently, tidily, and promptly without direct supervision Able to communicate effectively with medical staff Able to perform studies at bedside as required # Education/Experience: High school graduate or GED required Further education in neurology related courses preferred Certification required # or must be actively pursuing# Previous experience preferred Current BLS certification required Perks/Benefits: (for eligible employees): Have optimal opportunity for career growth within our growing organization Medical / Dental Retirement Plan PTO and paid life insurance## # What Sets Us Apart Archbold Medical Center is a four-hospital, four-nursing-home health system with 540 patient beds.
