A number of opportunities for increased engagement within the discipline of Psychology exist, including internships and practica, opportunities for gaining research experience via the department's laboratory for faculty and student scholarship, the Honors Program in Psychology, Psi Chi, and the Psychology Club. In this course, students will learn to critically analyze ethnocentric perspectives, understand the sociocultural influences on individuals' worldviews, and recognize the factors that establish and maintain cultural norms.
