Electrical Maintenance Technician 2nd and 3rd Shift Job Summary:Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC), a dynamic fresh pork processor based in Delphi, Indiana, is looking for a motivated Electrical Maintenance Technician to work in our world-class processing facility. The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the production operation by performing preventative and routine maintenance such as wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment.This Electrical Maintenance position is needed for 8-10 hours a day, including mandatory overtime and weekends. Shift hours for this position vary based on the team assigned. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime</li><li>Completing preventative and corrective maintenance on various meat processing equipment </li><li>Systematically troubleshoot and resolve issues with various facility equipment and tools</li><li>Commitment to following safety policies and practices while upholding the company policies and ethical standards</li><li>Perform other duties as needed or required</li><li>Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Industrial Maintenance Degree preferred, High School Diploma with sufficient experience will be considered</li><li>Ability to wire, troubleshoot and repair 3 Phase 480VAC systems, 24VDC and 120VAC control systems, and motor control circuits.</li><li>Ability to wire both low and high voltage motors</li><li>Ability to use DMM and Megger</li><li>Ability to properly size wire and circuit protection</li><li>Must be able to read and comprehend various prints, schematics and other company related documents</li><li>Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as needed</li><li>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Willing to work in extreme hot, cold, wet, humid, and odorous environments</li><li>Must possess personal hand tools for the position</li><li>Willingness to complete Confined Space training</li><li>Work includes repetitive motions and lifting, standing for extended periods of time, and working with raw meat products.</li><li>Hazmat certification a plus</li><li style="text-align:justify;line-height:normal">Offers are contingent on applicants ability to successfully pass a skill test, physical and drug screen.</li></ul> Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site including exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in cold, hot, and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. Physical Demand:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The position lifts heavy objects up to 50 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arms and fingers, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina and vision.
