Additional physical requirements include the ability to remain stationary in a standing and/or seated position for several hours a day; stoop, kneel, or crouch; navigate elevators, stairways, ramps, rough terrain, and construction sites; ascend and descend ladders and work on elevated surfaces, including water towers and other structures; move from one location to another; use electromagnetic locating devices; and wear required personal protective equipment. The employee may occasionally perform field assignments in poor weather and driving conditions, encounter other hazards associated with field work, work at varying heights up to 15 feet above the floor, and experience brief periods of excessive noise for which hearing protection is provided.
