Applicants must have experience in the design, assembly, troubleshooting, systems engineering development for shipboard systems, including the ability to work with cross functional teams to develop new features, troubleshoot existing systems, and create, modify, and/or use system documentation and schematics. Work may be performed onboard US Navy Ships (pier side and at sea), which requires proper safety precautions and ability to go up and down shipboard stairways (ladders); work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
