Responsibilities:Six Flags Fiesta Texas is looking for an organized and dedicated individual to join the Entertainment Technical Services Team. As an Entertainment Technician you will be responsible for running assigned tracks for stage productions and special events, assist with load in and load out of show product, assist with parade duties and assist with other technical services projects as assigned. This individual will work closely with the technical services team and entertainment production staff to ensure the smooth and safe installation of entertainment products and ensure the daily operation of the assigned shows and special projects.  HOW YOU WILL DO IT:<ul><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Perform daily operational duties to assist the department in the running of assigned show tracks</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Drive parade floats as needed during parade operating seasons</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Perform daily inspections of all scenic elements, lighting systems and special effects</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Repair and correct any issues quickly and safely to ensure a safe guest experience</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Assist the technical services team in daily operational duties including new builds and repairs, load ins and load outs, system maintenance and other projects as assigned</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Communicate with the stage management and production management team on any issues or safety concerns or issues.</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Operate various vehicles, tools and equipment as assigned</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Adheres to safe work practices and policies that further the safety culture of the department and park</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Must be available for all scheduled technical rehearsals</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Must be available for extended work calls during specific times of the year</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li style="font-weight:bold;font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Must be at least 18 years old</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">HS diploma, Theater Education (BA) or (BFA) or equivalent experience preferred</li><li style="font-weight:bold;font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Previous experience in the Entertainment/Theme Park Industry preferred</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Strong motivated team player with a strong ability to multi-task</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Experience in any of the following:<ul><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif">Carpentry</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif"> Audio/Visual</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif"> Lighting</li></ul></li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Strong verbal, written communication skills</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Must be able to work on projects independently and in group settings</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Ability to work a consistent 37-40-hour work week with a variety of hours or shifts, including weekends, evenings and some late evening/ overnight shifts. Opportunities for 40+ hours during select times of the year.</li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Willingness to train for other operational departments and assist same during specific key periods </li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Ensure compliance w/ standard operating procedures, park policies, and regulations </li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Must be able to lift up to 50lbs </li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions </li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Will frequently work at heights of 20 feet or more and occasionally work at heights up to 100 feet via catwalks, ladders and personnel lifts </li><li style="font-weight:bold;font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles, PIT equipment and parade floats required. </li></ul> OTHER NOTES: <ul><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. </li><li style="font-family:'times new roman' , 'times' , serif;font-size:12pt">Reports to Technical Production Supervisor and/or venue Stage Manager during productions </li></ul>
