KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Field Engineering • Observe and walk project sites to capture safety observations, progress photos, and identify potential issues • Assist the superintendent with daily execution of self-perform work • Gain exposure to field crews and functional managers to understand construction sequencing, material placement, and field workflows • Support QA/QC activities, quantity take-offs, and site logistics planning using digital platforms • Document Control & Project Support • Prepare, track, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and other project correspondence • Record daily quantities and facilitate weekly productivity reviews • Manage tracking logs for purchased materials and rented equipment • Safety & Compliance • Enforce Barton Malow corporate safety policies and site-specific safety requirements • Support proactive identification and mitigation of potential safety risks in the field. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field • Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software platforms • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents • Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic, field-based environment • Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
