Responsibilities include: • Assist in the development of roadway alignments, profiles, and typical sections • Prepare construction plans for roadway geometrics, signing and pavement markings, maintenance of traffic (MOT) and erosion and sediment control • Perform drainage and stormwater design tasks in coordination with senior engineers • Utilize design software (e.g., Microstation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD) to produce plan sets and 3D models • Support preparation of construction specifications, quantity calculations and cost estimates • Contribute to technical reports, studies, and design documentation • Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, public meetings, and agency submissions • Coordinate with internal design disciplines (structures, traffic, utilities) to integrate design elements • Participate in occasional site visits for data collection, field verification, or design support • Coordinate with senior engineers on permitting requirements and utility research. Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program • 0-4 years of relevant experience • Relevant internship/job experience related to transportation engineering preferred • Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization • Ability to handle multiple assignments • Experience working with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
