Job Type Full-time Description Position Overview The Shop Technician will be responsible for machine set-up, operation, maintenance, and post-processing of DMLS parts. They will follow established procedures, work instructions, and sequences of operations. This entry level position will provide you with technical knowledge of additive manufacturing and metal fabrication, and utilizing shop, welding, and hand tools. Having previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a strong attention to detail with a quality mind-set, proactively takes ownership of his/her products, is punctual in attendance and meeting goals, and remains flexible with scheduled hours. Keep maintenance schedules to minimize down-time and maximize part quality and yield. </li><li>Read assembly drawings or manufacturing drawings to ensure conformance and quality of in-process parts. </li><li>Use precision measuring instruments i.e. calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, precision scales. </li><li>Interact with Engineering on CAD models prepared for production on DMLS machines, EDM machines and post process requirements. </li><li>Interact with Engineers, Technicians, Quality and Management on other technical and customer-related services as needed to develop manufacturing solutions or resolve issues with new or current products. </li><li>Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with co-workers to ensure effective throughput of parts through production. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule. </li><li>Ability to follow instructions: Written, verbal or electronic communications. </li><li>Ability to move, position, lift, and stack parts weighing up to 50 pounds daily. </li><li>Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day, including gloves, hearing protection, eye protection, protective footwear, and respirators. </li><li>Ability to use and understand general test/measurement equipment including calipers, height gauges, tape measures, etc. </li><li>Ability to communicate with customers, teammates, and management with daily updates, hazard concerns, questions, and issues. </li><li>Ability to learn technical material relating to additive manufacturing and additive machine maintenance. </li><li>Must be able to work first shift, second shift, third shift, flexible hours, and weekends. </li></ul> Required: Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status (ITAR defines "U.S. Person" as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident All candidates selected for this position will be required to successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment. Job Description: Inspect all aspects and attributes of incoming, in-process or finished manufactured equipment and/or sub-assemblies to Company standards and determine acceptance or rejection.
