Responsibilities • Teaching undergraduate courses as assigned • Teaching graduate courses supporting MS and PhD programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry as well as the interdisciplinary programs in Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) and Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE) • Maintain a vigorous, creative, externally funded research program • Mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in the research environment • Actively participate on Departmental, School and University committees • To be a leader in the professional community, organizing symposia, reviewing manuscripts and research proposals, and the like. Primary Teaching Responsibilities: Will be in support of the core undergraduate curriculum in chemistry & biochemistry, materials science & engineering and will complement university-wide undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS and PhD) level courses supporting the growth in applied sciences, biosciences, and related fields.
