We are seeking an Underwriter Associate to support commercial real estate title transactions by analyzing title searches, commitments, surveys, and legal descriptions to assess and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will assist with issuing title commitments and proformas, identifying title defects, and developing solutions to facilitate timely closings, while working closely with Senior Underwriters, escrow officers, lenders, and clients throughout the deal process.Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Associate or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.</li><li>Experience:</li><li>Minimum 3 years in national commercial title underwriting</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills.</li><li>Proficient in title closing software systems (e.g., SoftPro, Encompass, ResWare, Qualia).</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li/></ul>Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annuallyThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $95,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring accurate and timely processing of all accounting activity. Additional responsibilities include strengthening accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements related to cash management, trust accounts, and escrow activity.
