You will work directly with our Lead Estimator on real commercial and residential roofing projects and learn how bids are built, priced, and won.</p><p>No busywork. No coffee runs. Real experience.</p><h3>The Opportunity</h3><p>This is a hands on, full time internship focused on project estimation, one of the most in demand and high impact skills in construction.</p><p>By the end of the summer, you will:</p><ul><li>Understand how construction bids are built from start to finish</li><li>Contribute to real project estimates</li><li>Gain experience that sets you apart in interviews and future roles</li></ul><h3>What You Will Do</h3><ul><li>Perform material and quantity takeoffs using construction drawings</li><li>Assist in pricing labor, materials, and complete project estimates</li><li>Review plans, specifications, and bid documents</li><li>Attend job site visits and pre bid walkthroughs</li><li>Support the preparation of real bid submissions</li><li>Work with estimating tools such as Excel and Bluebeam</li><li>Complete a capstone estimating project and present to leadership</li></ul><h3>What You Will Gain</h3><ul><li>Real world estimating experience</li><li>Weekly one on one mentorship with an experienced estimator</li><li>Exposure to both commercial and residential construction projects</li><li>Hands on training with industry tools and systems</li><li>A professional portfolio of work you can speak to after graduation</li><li>Potential opportunity for future employment</li></ul><h3>Who Should Apply</h3><p>We are looking for students who are:</p><ul><li>Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Completed at least one year of coursework</li><li>Detail oriented and comfortable working with numbers</li><li>Curious about how construction projects are priced and won</li><li>Motivated to learn and contribute in a fast paced environment</li></ul><h3>Program Details</h3><ul><li>Dates: May 18 to August 7, 2026</li><li>Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week</li><li>Location: Greenville SC with office work and regular field site visits</li><li>Pay: $23 dollars per hour</li></ul><h3>Additional Benefits</h3><ul><li>Direct exposure to industry professionals and company leadership</li><li>Opportunity to earn academic credit through your college or university if desired</li><li>Insight into real world decision making and how projects are evaluated and won</li><li>Experience working alongside a team in a fast paced construction environment</li><li>Development of practical skills that strengthen your resume and future career opportunities</li></ul><h3>About Allcon Roofing</h3><p>Allcon is a commercial and residential roofing contractor based in Upstate South Carolina.
