Assists students to become successful and independent learners by using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, OF & plasma cutting, blueprint reading, forklift operation, overhead crane, air-carbon arc cutting, various machine tool operations related to forming, cutting and drilling, and other lab/shop equipment to improve their critical thinking, problem-solving, study strategies and ability to make connections between Fabrication/Welding concepts and applications. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge, Skills in: Current skills in effective methods and knowledge related to a broad range of metal Fabrication and Welding technologies including machine operation (manual and CNC programming), maintenance, and manual welding skills.
